Virtual Impact Assessment
VIA is eaga People Development's Virtual Impact Assessment training tool. It offers experiential learning in the form of a simulated exercise, and provides practical experience of undertaking an Impact Assessment.
By developing knowledge and facilitating new skills, VIA navigates through the difficult terrain of an Equality and Diversity Impact Assessment. It ensures that delegates understand the practical requirements of each phase, sign-posting policy Screening, Data Gathering, Consultation, Monitoring and Audit.
While there is a statutory duty to carry out Impact Assessment for Race, similar requirements are planned for Disability and will inevitably be linked to the introduction of the single Commission for Equality and Human Rights, and a more integrated approach to Equality and Diversity.
In utilising VIA, organisations gain insight into Impact Assessment, and confidence to undertake it, thereby demonstrating compliance with the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000, as well as adopting a transferable method across all equality categories to realise best practice.

RR(A)A Online Assessment
Are you up to date with the legislative requirements of the Race Relations Amendment (RRA) Act ? Under the Act public bodies have a statutory duty to work to eliminate unlawful discrimination & promote equality of opportunity & good community relations.
The purpose of an Impact Assessment is to determine the extent of differential impact, remove any adverse impact, & improve existing practice. The eaga People Development web-based Impact Assessment Thermometer will allow you to gauge your organisations understanding of the Act.
Managing Diversity
Supporting the 'Managing Diversity - Looking for the Barriers' workbook and associated training, eaga People Development have created a web-based self assessment tool to support the learning process in relation to Equality and Diversity in your workplace.
The assessment is available as a demonstration at www.online-disparity-evaluation.com
