Diversity Training Skills (for non-experienced trainers)
Duration: 4 days
The course is divided into a one-day session "Valuing Diversity" followed by a three-day course resulting, post-assessment, in the eaga People Development 'Training Skills Certificate' awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management under the Quality Assured Scheme.
This programme of accreditation will benefit the organisation by improving the quality of the training and affording it enhanced validity. There are two elements to the course:
Element One: Valuing Diversity
This course is designed to equip participants with awareness, skills and tools to recognise current and potential barriers to promoting diversity in the workplace, and how to overcome these.
Element Two: Training Skills
The Training Skills programme covers the Analysis of Topics and Tasks, the Design and Development of Training Material, and the implementation and Delivery of training sessions. The assessed practical module will involve the delegates designing, delivering and/or evaluating a relevant training session. The 3-day module will cover the following areas:
- How and why people learn
- Barriers to learning - recognising and overcoming them
- Training Objectives
- Training Methods
- Presenting a group session/demonstration
- Preparation of material
- Giving feedback
- Validation and Evaluation
